Peterson Cartridge Announces Wide-Scale Availability of Match-Grade Brass Cases; Hires Industry Veteran to Lead Business Development

American brass cartridge manufacturer increases production capacity and adds industry veteran Joe Coury to spearhead growth

Pittsburgh, Pa.(October 3, 2016) – Peterson Cartridge, an American manufacturer of match-grade brass rifle casings that are among the most precise and consistent on the market, today announced the wide-scale availability of its first casing calibers: .338 Lapua Magnum; .308 PALMA; .260 Remington; and .308 Winchester. Following two years of development to create the machinery to meet the company’s stringent quality specifications, Peterson Cartridge began production of its line of match-grade brass casings in June 2016 and is now at full production capacity.

In addition, Joe Coury has been named director of development for the company and will be responsible for building relationships with OEM customers, cultivating strategic alliances with industry partners and setting the overall sales and marketing strategy. Coury has nearly two decades of international sales and marketing leadership experience in the firearms and ammunition industry, most recently serving as a defense industry consultant for a variety of contractors, including global firearms, ammunition and weapon system manufacturers.

“Having directed the purchase of millions of ammunition components during my career, I joined Peterson Cartridge because the company’s product quality is the best I’ve seen,” said Joe Coury, Peterson Cartridge’s new director of development. “I am eager to get our growing line of casings into the hands of OEMs and other potential partners to see the product quality firsthand and establish Peterson Cartridge as an industry leader for quality and consistency from case-to-case.”

By using a small-batch manufacturing process and rigorously testing numerous samples from each batch, Peterson Cartridge can ensure key casing measurements – internal volume, webbing thickness and hardness values – are consistent across batches, creating a more precise, dependably high-quality product. The company’s commitment to higher standards has made Peterson Cartridge casings a fast-growing favorite of competitive long-distance shooters.

“Brass is the foundation of a successful load.  It must be strong and uniform to perform well.  Whether you are competing, hunting or just having fun at the range, you can trust your next shot to Peterson Cartridge,” said F-Class T/R Long Range Rifle Marksman, Jim Webster.

Additional Peterson Cartridge calibers currently in development include .408 (10.36 x 77) and .375 (9.5 x 77) for CheyTac® chambered guns, 6.5 Creedmoor and .300 Winchester. These calibers are expected to be available in late 2016.
