6.5 Creedmoor Fat Neck

Some competitive shooters prefer to turn the necks down on their casings to precisely fit their chamber. So Peterson Cartridge came out with a casing we call the 6.5 Creedmoor Fat Necks. These cases have a neck wall thickness of .016. Our normal necks are .0145 to .0147. The max neck wall thickness to stay inside spec is .0152 per side.

The thicker walls on the Peterson Fat Necks allow you to trim off up to .002 per side to achieve exact uniformity. So if you are one of those shooters who likes to turn down the necks for a nice snug fit against your chamber wall, to minimize gas leak and maximize accuracy, these Fat Neck casings are for you.
