2022 was a big year for us at Peterson Cartridge. Our production numbers were higher than ever. We launched several new calibers, including completing offerings in the Weatherby and Nosler Families. As we move into 2023 you'll notice we've made some more changes including this now-quarterly journal that will replace our general newsletter.

Tyler was the stepson of one of our cell operators, George Burd. Last year he lost his battle to Ewing's sarcoma. The match was originally meant to be a fundraiser to help Tyler complete his bucket list. However, the timing of his passing turned it into a memorial. The organizers have decided to make it an annual event. Proceeds from the event are used to help local cancer patients with medical expenses.

When Winchester released their .338 Win Mag, Roy Weatherby felt his company needed to respond.  And respond they did, in a big way, with the .340 Weatherby. 

We at Peterson Cartridge pride ourselves on the way we have always communicated our message to our customers. We will certainly announce our successes, but we’ve never been afraid to discuss our struggles.

For the second time in seven months Bruce Teel is the 600-yard National Champion for the National Bench Rest Shooters Association (NBRSA). Bruce won his first championship in October of 2021 at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center, then returned there in April of 2022 to successfully defend his title. For both of these events Bruce was using Peterson 6BR brass that he fire-formed to 6BRA.

Peterson Cartridge is hosting their 2022 Challenge from August 12th through the 14th.

Introduced to the shooting world in 2018 by Hornady, the PRC in .300 PRC stands for “Precision Rifle Cartridge”.  This new cartridge features a .532” head diameter, a 30-degree shoulder and unlike previous generations of magnum rifle cartridges, has no belt.
