Mimbres Riber

Mimbres River Magic

Temperatures throughout most of the country are still warm enough to require air conditioning and the trees are still wearing the green leaves of summer. But the evening breeze and the fog of early morning foretell the coming of autumn. The first hint of fall triggers something in the minds of hunters.

Last Minute Changes

Last Minute Changes

It’s three weeks before you’re supposed to leave for the hunt you’ve spent the last ten months planning. You’ve got your gear ready, a bunch of waypoints marked on OnX, and you’re making the final checklist for packing the truck. This is it. It’s go time. Then all of a sudden, your momentum is brought to a screeching halt when you get the news that the little tweak you needed made to your rifle isn’t so small.

Western Hunting Gear Prep

The last couple of months before leaving on a western hunt always seem to go by in both a blur and with agonizing slowness. How is this possible? How can something be both fast and slow at the same time? Well, it’s all about perception. When you think about all the things you have left to do to get ready it appears that you have no time left at all, but when you allow yourself to daydream about what it is you’ll be doing on your trip it seems as if time itself has stopped and the date will never get here. There you go, time can move both fast and slow. We can’t do anything about speeding up your departure date, but we can help with getting you ready to leave.

2nd Annual Tyler Weil Memorial

2nd Annual Tyler Weil Memorial

Tyler was the stepson of one of our cell operators, George Burd. Last year he lost his battle to Ewing's sarcoma. The match was originally meant to be a fundraiser to help Tyler complete his bucket list. However, the timing of his passing turned it into a memorial. The organizers have decided to make it an annual event. Proceeds from the event are used to help local cancer patients with medical expenses.

Commitment to the Outdoors: Why Conservation Matters

Since the creation of Yellowstone National Park in 1872, the idea of conservation has grown and evolved into a full-blown cultural movement. It has drawn the attention of people from all walks of life. It crosses political and socioeconomic lines. It even ignores international borders. But why is this important to a company that makes rifle casings and ammunition?
